Day 7 (2024): Final Day of Camp and La Plaza de Ponchos

Day 7 started with a change of pace as we walked to the camp instead of taking the bus. Although the walk was short it was so worth it with the beautiful views. As we got to camp we enjoyed our delicious empanadas and fruit.

We got straight into playing games with the kids after breakfast. The camp had a surprise for us called Booga Booga. Information regarding the details of Booga Booga has been redacted by the censor due to the confidential nature of this ceremony. Those wishing to be initiated into its secrets will need to join a future St. John's mission team. Which was the perfect leeway to the water games that were next. From water balloon fights to catching water balloons we did it all, and no one made it out dry.

We then served the kids lunch and said our fair wells. Tears were involved but everyone was happy. After the kids left we cleaned up the camp making it look like it was a new property. After saying our goodbyes to the (spotless) camp ground we headed to the artisan market and purchased some local products. For dinner we had pizza with a frozen yogurt dessert. St. John’s out…
